Speaking of the Jesus prayer the Way of the Pilgrim was one af the guides to my spiritual life.

BTW I bought the book you suggested plus one more that has commentary.

had an effect on you in your walk of Faith.

I'm glad also that you were able to find additional materials on The Faith.

I had thought of a kind of joke that would work for what I knew was a typical opening to the service. Many preachers start by saying, “Good news. He has risen; he has risen indeed.”
I went inside just before the start and sat midway back by the center aisle. When the preacher stepped to the podium and said, “Good news.” I stood up and he then said, “He has risen.” As he said, “he has risen indeed,” I was walking down the aisle to the rear door. I went outside and immediately left the property. I thought I heard some of the teenagers in the back row laugh as I left the building.
Also, I immediately left town.
