It occurred to me while I was watching it that the premise was somewhat plausible and I was a little disappointed to discover it was not true.

I thought it was "Plausible" too! LOL! I also thought it was extremely interesting.
Though the eyes of the Mer Apes reminded me of Gollum from "The lord of the rings"

I really liked the idea of the tools and how they traveled in pods like dolphins. I thought that the scientist who found the sting ray barb and then later put it together with one of the tools they discovered was a super neat touch. But I also found that the thought of humans actually living in the deep like that made me claustrophobic! And not a little paranoid haha
