I have some new Tarot Cards

They're a bit large for my hands, but I think with time they'll be fine. HOWEVER, being new, they're quite stiff, and I'm having trouble shuffling them. any hints on getting them a bit more pliable and useable? I'm trying to split the deck and shuffle small groups at a time, but they're stiff as boads.

It may be hard to find, and I don’t recommend talc or bath powder. Figure you can’t go wrong with the metal salt of a fatty acid. It imparts a ‘soft’ texture after it gets worked in.

how does one learn to read the cards and also, there seems to be many different kinds of decks so how do you know which ones to get?

Info at her You Tube channel.

Also, Susan Lynn offers a free community & a paid one. Not sure she gives tarot lessons, though.

Choose a dexk you feel resonance with.

Enjoy!

I believe Denise's group is $25/mo & she recently stated how many videos she has up. I don't recall the number, but it was like 2,000!

She is quite unique in that she uses the cards & astrology to not only predict events, but health as well.

Enjoy!

No hints to impart about the newness feel as I never did anything special for that.
Just curious though, do you perform a consecration ritual for a new deck, or is it more of a practical tool for your readings? 🤔
Best wishes!

There are several methods they use to shuffle different decks. Libby from Maighstir, for example, uses a couple ways that might work for your deck.

I've seen her a few times and I cannot fathom how she shuffles with her nails!
