Tony Bourdain visits Iran 2014

https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=832406203561145

I don't do Facebook or Social Media so the only way I could post Tony's trip to Iran was via a link and I think you need to tap on the link one or two times...I don't know how to post stuff via Facebook. I hope it works, I'm experimenting.

It showed Iranians as real people who aren't that different from us.

I just watched the No Reservations episode from Turkey and the food in the Middle East always makes me salivate. When Tony went back there on Parts Unknown the atmosphere was very different and noticeable. The local food guide was very nervous and paranoid since the more recent regime had changed a lot in between his visits. She was afraid to speak out in a public setting and was looking over her shoulder a lot.

Though there were many meals he ate that I never would. He'd eat anything!

right behind the still dirty colon of an animal in Africa. He had to eat certain foods in order to be polite but he rarely got super ill.

"Anthony Bourdain considered the unwashed, roasted warthog rectum (colon) eaten in Namibia with the Bushmen for No Reservations as one of his worst meals ever, describing it as filled with "sand, crap, and fur". Despite the severe taste, smell, and resulting parasite, he ate it to show respect to his hosts."

I saw both episodes and I think I would have turned down both the shark and rectum.
