My family are Disney World fanatics. I have lost count of how many times I have been to Disney World. Today, Walt Disney is frozen today.

We were at Disney in October and it was nippy but not that cold.
One of my old favorite rides closed today. I rode this ride twice back on our last trip to say goodbye to it. The fans of this ride were waiting a long time for their last chance to experience this ride

The dinosaur ride will be replaced with a version of the Indiana Jones ride that is at DisneyLand. Both rides are basically on the same track.
I acknowledge that WDW fans are strange. I am not sure that I would want to do these temperatures

(176,328 posts)Last October, two of my children and I were evacuated from the Expedition Everest ride at WDW. The fire department had me go out 8 flights of stairs in a wheelchair. I just saw that on the last day of operation, there was an evacuation of the Dinosaur ride

(1,728 posts)I live about an hour south of Busch Gardens in Tampa. My son has a pass, so we go often.
Last year, they announced they were closing the Scorpion ride, one of their oldest. Its not the biggest or wildest, but we liked it, and rode the hell out of that ride on the last day (I think I rode 7 times and he went another couple when I hit the restroom or to refill our water thingie).
Now, its just a gravel area where theyre putting another rideeventually.
They also closed the Stanley Falls flume (now just dry but havent started tearing it apart yet). That leaves a lot of kiddie rides and a few rollercoasters, with a lot of repetitive junk shops in between. Given the massive amount of walking, its becoming less enticing, for sure (I shattered my knee years ago, so walking that far can be an issue, and my sons missing a leg, though hes far more agile on crutches than I am walking). Theyre going to have to really offer something worthwhile to entice us into another year pass.

(1,728 posts)Kind of weird to replace it with Indiana Jones, though. I guess I havent been to the movies in forever, but isnt there a newer franchise to capitalize on?
