but I so loved it to see USC so badly humiliated after they went up by fourteen points. I hate both teams, but I hate USC the most!

They serve no purpose except to invalidate the regular season.

College football would have been over until the bowls.
For that reason, I like championship games.
There's been some very entertaining ones over the years.

Now it's all so intense.

I am not a USC fan, but now their whole season pretty much doesn't count and their QB is hurt with at least one game to go. And it didn't do Utah any good to win because it's not enough to move them up into the top 4 even though they are at the top of their game.

I'd still rather have the games than not.
Football is entertainment, and the championship games enhance that entertainment.
The K-State-TCU game was epic.

I loved the wide open bowl season, before the BCS started. All the winners were happy, and the fans seemed to have more fun. I could always count on a bowl game or two playing at airports when I was traveling, too.
