Nine reasons why The Expanse season 7 should happen...

Excellent opinion piece, really nails it all very well

It always bothered me how much of the show was about Marco, but I figured that was just the screen writer's decision on adapting a very layered and complex story line to TV

Plus this show had to have been VERY expensive to make

As the actors became stars, their price went up too,
the production standards and special effects had to stay high as well for each successive season

I think the original expectation was to produce a shorter series

Then it took off in popularity and production accolades

Turns out the audience could actually get into something more complex and nuanced than the usual SciFi fare

Having read the books three times, the last few seasons would have been amazing if they could have afforded the special effects budgets. The major battles with the Laconians would be fantastic on the big screen.
