the silent spaces

the storm is raging outside and the calm appears inside
sitting with eyes half closed in the half darkened room
time will pass earth will abide even while ghosts hide
a god of nature has proposed of each impending doom
the waving branches display the closeness of a danger
between the flash of lightning and the echo of thunder
comes the moment to pray to seek succor of a stranger
bands on the heart tightening all thoughts cast asunder
the sign of the silent spaces lies deep within wild hearts
lust brings love life creation and then it marks the circle
hiding among obvious places yet then ending as it starts
accepting one last salvation both that barren and fertile
now time is winding down as clocks have forgotten time
live within the whining sound and worship at the shrine
