never imagine of sins spinning behind their eyes
drive the loved the apart dust of a rubbish heap
how do you see me behind the quiet face hiding
speaking expected words in their tempered tones
gestures that appear kind a demeanor so abiding
gentle eyes a lip curved skins covering the bones
inviting smiles a careful frown a look of blankness
as trust is now overflowing and is now dry bound
with eyes cast up or down in the lies of frankness
weedy gardens overgrowing a single rose is found
if secrets can be revealed in moments of honesty
all the better to conceal within the false modesty
