calm peaceful days at home. Working in the garden, cleaning house, driving out to the farm where they're house used to be, to catch mulberries in old sheets while Grandpa climbed the tree and shook it's branches. Then other days we would collect dried cow pies in burlap bags to take into town for the garden. Compared to actual home life with stressed parents and all that comes with it, this was heaven on earth for us kids.
So I never feared these years, I looked forward to them. And here I am, glad that I made it. We have a real similar 100 year old house like they had with oak woodwork. This is right where we want to be.
