On the Sacred Water Unity Walk, Warriors Walk Through the Night
LAS VEGAS -- Hualapai, Paiute and Shoshone walkers and runners are carrying their Prayer and Sacred Water 700 miles from Hualapai's Ceremonial Place in Arizona, Ha'Kamwe', to the Paiute Massacre Site in northern Nevada, Peehee Mu-huh, Thacker Pass, both targeted with lithium mining.
Dorece Antonio, Fort McDermitt Paiute Shoshone, is a descendant of OxSam, a survivor of the Calvary's Massacre at Peehee Mu-huh.
Dorece said, "The purpose of our run is raising awareness for our water, which our future generation will depend on. The water at Ha'Kamwe' is already contaminated by arsenic and other gases, which was caused by drilling alone."
Hualapai's Protect Ha'Kamwe' said earlier today that warriors ran through the night.
"Gumyu'ja Baja: Good morning relatives thank you again for all your support we made it to Jean, Nevada. We had a couple of warriors whom made an effort and walked through the night to catch up to lost time, yet Ba'geyovah was able to see them thru. Thank You. Heading to Las Vegas folks come out give and say Hi."
"Water Is Sacred Water Is Life. Protect Oak Flat, Protect Grand Canyon."
