Related: About this forumDon't let those big blue eyes fool you. This is a very fierce predator!!
She's in the den with the kidcats, including Madoc who is keeping his distance. She decided to take a breather from instigating stuff.

(7,603 posts)She was not my first kitty, I had 2 others that lived to be about 15 years, one after the other. I'm too old to adopt another, there is no-one to care for her if something happens. Your posts make me smile, thank you for all you so for our special furry friends.

(13,816 posts)We lost our remaining cat back in December and later that same month welcomed a hefty five-year-old tabby named "Nicky" who wasn't getting along with the other cats at his former home. We thought we were too old to take on another but Nicky needed a home so don't be so sure about your situation. My condolences on your loss.

(2,239 posts)So many seniors languish in shelters because people want younger cats.
You could also ask your local shelter about fostering an older cat; that usually means that the shelter/facility will pay medical bills and can take the cat back if the worst happens.
Many shelters have steep discounts for seniors who adopt seniors.
I'm very sorry for your loss.
