Oh, dear. Fuzzy was at it again

Mrs. Bird fed and let Fuzzy out this morning. She was intending to let me sleep a little later because I picked her brother up at the airport and got home late.

Anyway, she lets him out and then I hear her yelling at him. I throw on my robe and go out to see. Apparently, a rabbit made a nest inside the fence and Fuzzy found it.

So much for the baby rabbits.

Sigh, he is 13 going on 14 and he is still a hunter. He hadn’t gotten any creatures in a little while.

We love our pets but they still act according to their nature many times.

Our dog (Barkley) we had when we lived in Chicago found a rabbit nest in the yard and got one bunny. Mrs. Bird told him to leave the bunnies alone as they were “momma’s bunnies”. He did. He would go out in the morning and stare at the nest but he left it alone. That guy was smart as a whip. Fuzzy is sweet but not exactly the sharpest pencil in the box. We still love him though.

I watched one morning as he devoured a baby rabbit, washed up a little, thought about it and went back to the woods to get another one. “ I know where I can get more of those”, he thought Cats, it’s in their nature

The code drives them to hunt and capture just for the sport of it all.

It seems to be pent up energy that is buried not too deep below the surface, then the hunt/kill instinct pops into the picture seemingly from nowhere.

Then the cute little kitty - becomes the ravenous blood thirsty tiger.

Little house cats watch big tigers have lunch.

7. We think Fuzzy is a Huskadore

A mix between a Husky and a Lab. If you look on YouTube you can find videos about Huskadores (or Labskies). One showed a female Lab and a male Husky and their pups which were basically grown up. The pups looked just like Fuzzy.

Other videos talked about owning a Huskadore and various characteristics including a high prey drive.

He is the first dog we have had that is my dog. He loves Mrs. Bird but our son says I am Fuzzy’s hero.

Our first two dogs were Mrs. Bird’s dogs. They liked me but I was not Momma.
