As a general rule, cats don't like change, but every now and again, they change their habits solely

to trip you up. Every so often, Martini changes her resting or hiding spot. Her latest thing to sit on my dresser. Every time I go upstairs to my bedroom, there's Martini sitting on the dresser. Even when I go up there to take her into the bathroom to give her her medicine, it's like she's sitting there waiting for me to come get her. She used to hide under an easy chair or behind the couch where I could never reach her.

Holly likes to hang in the basement or sleep on my bed when I'm not in it. That hasn't changed.
