My sweet cat Martini, who took her pill so easily for five days has disappeared

and has been replaced by a wild beast who fights me every step of the way. Previously, all I had to do was open her mouth, throw the pill in and she would swallow it and it would be all over in less than a minute. Now, she squirms, claws, fights, and clamps her mouth shut. If I do get the pill in her mouth, she spits it out and smirks at me.

So, I'm going to be heading to Petsmart in a few minutes to buy pill pockets, which I hope will make it an easier and more pleasant experience for both of us. Wish me luck. 🤞

If my cat gets a little scratch over her eye or something, I like to put a little Neosporin on it. But now if I have anything on my hands, she’ll run and hide. Good luck keep fighting the good fight. You’re doing the right thing.

But not with me? Oh no, she'd rather cough it back at me. I hid the pill in her food and she ate it...this time. Pill pockets tomorrow.

You need to place the pill just right ... far enough back that it's easier to swallow than spit out, but not so far back that it gags.

We'd use a pill popper to pill our cat and then always give them a treat. It worked so well we could shake the pill bottle to call them to come inside.

I've never ever been able to pill a cat without one.

I would mix the powder with their most palatable soft food. Most times, the car wouldn’t eat any, so I would trowel the thick paste directly onto the upper front leg. Unable to tolerate such desecration of its fur, the cat would lick itself clean - meds & all.

prescriptions for one of my cats. Ask your vet if the prescription can be made into a liquid, and if so, which pharmacy would do it.

with the neighbor's cat. We tried the towel burrito and ended up with a bloody towel. She ended up fixing it with salmon skin and he ate it.

If this is a regular prescription you may want to try a dermal applicator. Some prescriptions can be made into a cream with and applicator that dispenses the proper dose and you put it on the inside of their ear. It is pricey but so far the only way I was sure he was getting the complete dose.

I had a cat that started out mean when I tried giving her pills. Then she became cooperative. I attributed that to her recognizing I am the boss of the house. When I moved out, I found a pile of those pills behind a dressers. She won.

all those meds... and I thought he was taking them so well! Instead, he was holding them in his mouth someplace (because I couldn't see them when I looked!) and depositing them behind the couch in the front room. Little Stinker! But this was the same cat that thought because his head was underneath a cabinet, he was completely hidden from us... even tho his entire middle and back end were sticking out! I do miss that baby...

They seem to have been cured without the pills. That never stopped me from giving them their pills though - just in case. I miss my stinker too.

So when the loaded one gets eaten it is ignored.

A second thought...I crush the pills Dixie my asshole cat gets into dust, then I put that pill dust halfway into a bowl of wet catfood. She was gobbling down the wet food and missed the pills
