Cooking & Baking
Related: About this forumRight now, my strawberry-rhubarb pie of the year is baking.
It's my favorite pie and it's made with strawberries and rhubarb grown locally on a small farm.
The crust came out flexible as well (combo of butter and lard).

(2,237 posts)Now Im jonesing for strawberries and rhubarbnot necessarily together. Rhubarb in Florida is a travesty, though, and its been ages since Ive had really good (and cheap) rhubarb. Used to have it in our garden in Iowa and I really miss being able to snap a stalk off and munch at will. *sigh*
For now, Ive got a mess of apples and should probably bake a pie with some of the excess just so I dont feel so deprived.
