Trying something different tonight: Wasabi-Barbecue Chickpeas, which calls for a cup of chickpeas and wasabi powder, though I might use some from a tube. It's done in the pressure cooker, and this recipe is from a cookbook I just borrowed from the library called Everything Vegetarian Pressure Cooker. The only other ingredient is onion.
Cup of creamy chicken-caramelized onion soup to go with it, along with a small tossed baby arugula salad with vinaigrette.
Kombucha: triple berry (raspberry, blackberry and one other I can't remember).
Dessert: Half a Cara Cara orange and toasted almonds. Hot tea, probably Earl Grey as usual.

(1,868 posts)Steam-fried in sesame oil and veggie broth: chopped onion, celery, red bell pepper, snow peas, minced garlic and ginger. When soft I added more veggie broth and ginger, soy sauce, sliced water chestnuts and fresh bean sprouts. Last I added brown rice noodle that I cooked separately and firm tofu cubes. Soup is garnished with chopped scallions and chow mein noodles. Cheers!🥂

(1,860 posts)Chicken breast can be dry, but these turned out moist. Also steamed asparagus, roasted potatoes and grapefruit. If any of us want dessert, there's extra cookies from the batch of chocolate chip cookies I baked for my nephew, who's been hospitalized with a serious illness, but is now recovering in rehab
