Grilled lemon chicken with orzo.
Bought it at WF because I'm too busy to cook. the plants need attention from coming in from the cold.
Tossed green salad with a homemade dressing which I have yet to determine.
Kombucha: Strawberry-rhubarb.
Dessert: baklava and Earl Grey tea, hot.
It is so cold here. The wind is blowing 14 mph and they say it feels like 29.

(1,663 posts)Looked outside this morning and saw we had about an inch of snow which said to me this is a day to make soup. So I made a pot early this morning. I start out with cooking the split peas in veggie broth with bay leaves and I cook the vegetables separately before combining the two. Besides green split peas, the other soup ingredients are: chopped onion, celery, carrots, green bell pepper, zucchini, mushrooms and garlic. Will have a nice toasted baguette along with the soup. Cheers!🥂

Stracotto (Italian pot roast with red wine and tomatoes). Added turnips for bulk. Served with Parmesan polenta (original recipe calls for Gorgonzola - which is incredibly good - but I didnt have any). Lasts several nights or Ill freeze leftovers.
