Blanket of white snow on the ground this morning. Yuck, winter is here already.

... so I'll just whinge about the cold here. I'm in Sarasota, about an hour or so south of Tampa. Already turned my waterbed heater on Saturday because we're apparently getting your weather tonight. I'll have to bring the orchids in tonight. I'm not sure how "below 40" we'll really get.

What's really disgusting is that I used to think nothing of stepping out in an Iowa blizzard in socks and t-shirt to grab more firewood. Almost 40 years here and I'm officially a wuss. 🤪

Autozone. It was always a two day adventure during the winter. Everything north of I 80 was horrible. One time I was stuck at the I 80 truck stop for two days snowed in. Couldn't ask for a better truck stop though. Worlds largest truck stop had everything a truck driver could want.

English muffins later with pistachio, cashew or dairy butter. Jams or jellies.

I can’t think of anything I want so I might skip breakfast and figure out something for lunch.

Emile, even though it snowed and gardening is seemingly over, I’ll bet there is still something magnificent about those large expanses of white.

Irisblue, did you get any snow?

I’m right on the edge of that system that you had, so it’s clearing out the greenhouse for me today. I don’t mind; I love doing anything with my plants.
