(11,181 posts)I grew everything but the bacon myself!
I didnt use a crock pot though, just boiled the potatoes, onion and green beans til tender
Fry the bacon separately because my better half likes it crispy, drain the veggies and pour the bacon over it
yummy

(6,445 posts)She did the same thing, except with hamburger instead of ham. When I was in labor, she came down to help and cooked this for my (now ex) hubby. He had no idea what to make of it, or how to eat it! (LOL)

(3,222 posts)And the recipe is for, dipping, I presume?
I love fresh bread, I also love bisques and stews my dipper sauce , here's how I make mine.
crab or lobster, just a claw,or two cast iron skillet, butter( theres your salt)a spoonful of sour cream, turnoff stove, and walk away
Your dipping sauce is on your pan
⁸, bonus is, you have a couple of claws, that you are, along the way
You can add garlic to butter, but I'm a purist cook. When it comes to great seafood, ya gotta taste the the seafood, not the spices.
My side with this rich, heavy cal meal would be a simple salad.
