after a 99 cent sale these 2 weeks. But it's Tillamook. Is that ok?

And, what's a bagel?

There was a time in the late 70s when no one ever heard of bagels outside NYC area. Or so it seemed. Never saw one in stores. Now they have these imitation bagels of all size and flavors. But yuck. White flour, doughy. Real bagels were cooked in water, the skins were thicker and even hard, the dough inside well cooked.

Bagels did not emigrate from NYC. They have been kidnapped to suit the baking industry. Pure bagel laws should surely be enacted.

There was a Cuban bagel bakery in Opa Locka that sold day old bagels cheap.

I got this box of Tylina Sweetshop Classic Cheesecake Dessert Mix. 16 ounces cream cheese, and some Cool Whip. I'll use a home mix Cool Whip substitute to avoid the HFCS. The Tylina is mostly sugar but it's a no-bake cake. And few artificial ingredients, no dyes, unlike the most famous national brand no bake cheesecake. At 99 cents for cream cheese, it compares favorably. Above that, not so much.

I am having my favorite: jalapeño cheddar.

A little cottage cheese and a small Gala to go with it.

Hot tea.
