Huge box. Mr X likes chicken, and I no longer slave over frying it from scratch. It was expensive. There better be two breasts in the box

(56,983 posts)it was cheaper than take out, but I don't know if that is true any more. they used to have a "southern" style that was probably just extra black pepper, but it was ok.

(6,722 posts)We didn't have a lot of money, but every once in a while Mom would splurge on a box. Man, it came out of the oven so crispy. My Mom didn't like the white meat, so I got to have the breast. One year our oven broke, so we could only cook on the stove top. When we finally got it fixed, we celebrated with the Banquet chicken. To this day I'll occasionally buy one of their chicken dinners just to have a couple of pieces.

Honestly? I'd probably get KFC or a local alternative (we've got a great one) and just keep a box of Banquet for emergencies, like when you're snowed in and really craving fried chicken.
