Question for you. I need some advice.....

I was born in New Haven, CT and lived there until I was Five or so years old. I have some old family photos and on the back of one says Biltmore Restaurant and the other says apartment over Jack's Tavern.

Any suggestions on how to find out the street addresses of these long defunct businesses and perhaps the owners name of Jack's Tavern because I can remember playing with their son little Jack.

Thanks, LS

New Haven's Assessors office may have listings of the chain of ownership of the property.

The Historical Society is a place to ask, as is the library-- if they don't know, they may point you in the right direction.

Local newspapers and radio stations, etc. may have searchable records.
