(1,109 posts)Koz, so good to hear from you. On top of everything else, your phone is not working! Know that many of us are thinking about you and hoping you will continue to reach out for support. Yes, even local agencies, medical staff, and phone repair staff can brush you aside because they are burned out (or jerks), but the squeaky wheel gets oiled, so keep on squeaking. As a woman, I find that rather than getting nasty (Karen!), I get more help when I slowly detail a long story while asking for help (as in "I'm an old woman vulnerable due to xxx, recovering from ..., and needing assistance with xxx... blah blah blah"
. Having read this endless post, you can imagine how many would offer help just to get me off the phone! Take care. Keep squeaking and squawking!
