After waking up with a pounding headache and a horrible hangover, I made the decision to stop drinking alcohol and smoking cigarettes at the same time. Life is so much clearer and stable being sober. I know that I made the best decision for my body and myself. I am so proud of my epic accomplishment!

(10,208 posts)You have every right to be proud after pushing aside some bad habits even more impressive when you include tobacco.
It was 3 years for me on Thanksgiving. I only wish I'd seen the light 50 years ago.
As you said, life is better all around.
Cheers for all of us and a happy 23 for yourself!
