There were major matriarchal societies, so not all were white male-controlled over thousands of years--and that includes religion/religious practices.

I read it many, many years ago. I'd say it is time to go back and see if today's issues might have some hint of an ancient answer. At least we can better understand what happened long ago.

Women were magical because they could bear children, we had power. Once they figured out that they were part of the equation, then they changed the game.

I found it interesting that there was a WIKI page devoted to it (linked above). It was apparently a far more influential book than I had realized.

I recall watching a film in college of an ancient civilization being unearthed by anthropologists & it was at the time said to be the oldest religious artifacts found & clearly depicted a female goddess.

Another great read is "Crossing to Avalon: A Woman's Midlife Quest for the Sacred Feminine" by Jean Shinoda Bolen, MD. She is both a psychiatrist & a Jungian analyst & one of my fav authors of non-fiction work.

It’s a god complex combined with selfishness. They do not want to change and American culture coddles them.

According to scientists, there is only one race, the human race There are more genetic differences within the so called races than between them. From grayish pink to darker shades of brown. Those are variations of very few of the human genome. But, they are visual and that seems to be the easiest way to divide groups.
Also it’s the same with gender. Gender involved 72 human genes. It’s more of a curve than an either or.
Of course it’s simpler draw lines than to accept reality. It requires critical thinking,

Rape, war, child abuse, trafficking, murder, sociopathy, mostly men. A higher percentage are white men in this country. I will say I have not compared stats with other countries to see which men by race or nationality, are over- represented in violence by population.

I am reminded of the caste system in India, and the prejudice of color in some SA countries. Also in Australia against the natives, as well as native Indians in the US and Canada.

And New Zealand is as bad as Australia.

I recall being a kid & my HS age brother & his friends all bought & paid for brand new very nice cars -- mustangs, camaros, cutlesses, road runners, etc -- working part-time at a burger joint that charged 15-cents for burgers.

This does not address the entire pronlem of caucasian males dominating religion & politics, of course, only the violent criminal aspects.

The Dr. of sociology contends that when rethugs outsourced all the US factory jobs, guys lost their means to support their families without needing a lengthy & pricey college education. And they lost a part of their identities in the process, to have a job to go to & do (typically) "guy stuff" with machines, etc.

As is historically the case with school kids, most females tend to internalize stressors (depression, eating disorders, self-mutilation) & males tend to act out more, misbehaving in more observable ways such as fighting, property damage, etc.

I find it astounding that after the immense problems & pain caused to American families with greedy rethug factory job outsourcing, now kraznov is imposing tariffs on imports & complaining goods are not manufactured in the US! Of course, Kraznov is not giving tax breaks or other incentives to businesses to bring back the factory jobs the rethugs outsourced...

Anyway, I absolutely do not condone crime, but how can we as a society restore males' collective sense of self-worth so that they aren't constantly in a state of rage?

One thing is adequate mental healthcare, but they must be willing & insurance needs to cover it!

A very complex problem -- as always -- created in large part by rethugs & their insatiable greed.

Overt discrimination against women and other races was out in the open, culturally accepted, and practiced everywhere in this country to one degree or another.
