(110,629 posts)Gawd. If Netanyahu thinks this kind of lying bullshit/hypcrisy is going to bring the world to the side of Israel--even for those who DO hold sympathy for the people of his country--I've got news for him. It only disgusts and enrages those who have seen what has unfolded over the past 20 months.

(3,399 posts)When the Israelis attack a hospital that Hamas has turned into a command post or weapons cache (thereby making it a military target) after they have warned people that the attack was coming, then that isn't a war crime. When Iran attacks an Israeli hospital that is just a hospital, and they do it without warning, then that is a war crime. Molst decent people can tell the difference.

Nearly 100% of civilian structures including homes and office buildings and civilian infrastructure like water towers, desalination plants and power plants in Gaza are norhing but rubble.
Bombing civilian targets and infrastructure is what Israel does.
There were no command posts under the hospitals. The much-hyped multi-story Al Shifa "control and command centre" turned out to be a cob-webbed disused laundryroom with a toilet and a kitchen sink. The tunnels there had been built by Israel in the 1980's - that's why Israel was confident they were there.
Weapons caches? The pitiful amount and quality of weapons that Israel presented for a while and then stopped because it looked ridiculous?
No, hospitals never become legitimate targets based on weak or false accusations. In fact, hospitals are to be protected - always. They never should become a target for unnecessary, deliberate destruction as happened in Gaza. Hospitals were attacked over 200 times. Shelled, bombed, patients and doctors sniped, emergency, ICU and maternity wards demolished. Hundreds of patients and hospital staff as well as sheltering civilians killed. The raids on hospitals with patients still present resulted in at least two mass graves in the courtyards of hospitals. Some corpses were zip-tied or were still attached to hospital tubes. Hundreds, if not thousands of doctors, nurses and hospital staff and patients were kidnapped to Israeli torture prisons where some of them died hortibly and others were tortured so badly they are shells of who they once were. Others have disappeared or are still held with no charges. Just because Israel can.
All of this is a war crime upon war crimes upon war crimes.
I could go on but I think I'd be wasting more time.
Most decent people know by now the score about what Israel has done. Those who still don't, likely never will. The kool aid is that strong.
As for the Iranian missile, unlike the precision targeting of the IDF bombers, Iran's missiles are very inaccurate. If they were actually targeting the hospital, they would have missed. The hospital is surrounded by military installations and that's what Iran was aiming for. Israel really should not use its civilians as human shields. It's military headquarters are smack dab in the middle of Tel Aviv and its aerial defense lauchers sprinkled throughout its towns and cities next to civilian homes. The hypocrisy and double standards would be pretty hysterical if they were not so infuriating.

(12,994 posts)And the Al Shifa administrarors becane complicit in war crimes when the terrorists brought the hostages in.
And this is not a bug, it's a feature that Hamas officials repeatedly bragged about. The evidence is overwgelming, and denying it is ridiculous bordering on malicious.
