USA Targets India & China - Joe Blogs

In this video I discuss the changes introduced to the H-1B Visa system in the United States. These visas are used by companies to bring overseas workers to the USA. In 2024 84% of these visas were issued to Indian and Chinese workers in sectors such as IT, Healthcare and Education. Previously the cost of the visa was around $5,000 however it has now been increased by $100,000 to encourage companies to hire USA staff instead. This increase in costs will severely reduce the cost effectiveness of overseas workers and has the potential to have a damaging impact on both India and China.
