Strike at Le Mars dairy plant ends, tentative agreement reached

LE MARS, Iowa (KTIV) - A representative of the Teamsters Local 554 tells KTIV a tentative agreement has been reached by the negotiating committee.

All workers returned to work Saturday, Aug. 23 at their normal start time.

The representative says the next step is to have a ratification vote meeting. At this meeting, workers plan to go over the settlement and vote on the proposed settlement from the company.

Some of the 196 employees at a Le Mars dairy plant have been on strike since Thursday afternoon.
