Pedro Inzunza Coronel, alias El Pichón, (The Pigeon) was killed on Sunday during an anti-drug operation by the Mexican navy in the north-western state of Sinaloa.
Two operators of this criminal cell were detained and upon attacking the naval personnel, Pedro N Pichón lost his life, said Omar García Harfuch, Mexicos security secretary on X.

(167 posts)In Sinaloa, a raid broke the spell,
Where El Pichón was said to excel.
When the navy closed in,
Shots of chaos began
And the traffickers empire fell.
A kingpin who trafficked with guile,
Moved fentanyl mile after mile.
But the forces struck hard,
Caught his crew off their guard,
Bringing ends to a long-running file.
With his father, hed long held command,
Moving tens of tons contraband.
But one record-size haul
Made authorities call
For a crackdown that swept through the land.
The Mexican navy advanced with intent,
Aiming justice where countless lives went.
Two were taken alive,
But one didnt survive
Thus concluded a grave incident.
