the level of destruction in some parishes.
The slow pace of relief is causing serious anger on the island.

I live in SW Florida so I know what hurricanes are capable of but Melissa was no ordinary storm. It will take a while but it will get better ❤️🩹

(24,780 posts)5. It's been over 3 since since Ian and we've had a couple since then but Ian's destruction is still with us
It will take heavy equipment, barges full of debris and a place to dispose of just to clear up the landscape so rebuilding can start. It has to be done with support from everywhere just to access where to start. Seems like a good project rather than spending our resources on tearing down
