Wow, a way to encourage recycling

So I just got hubby for our anniversary a new I-phone 5S. His old, trusty 3G was... shall we put it mildly, on it's last legs.

So I just checked for trade in value. The best I can find is the grand great amount of 12 bucks, maybe. Yes, yes, I will get it recycled, but damn, it made me laugh.

I wonder how much the pos I got from Samsung would fetch?
