Posts not changing color

Until my computer did an update/reset overnight a few days ago, when I clicked on a discussion thread and read it and then exited the discussion thread, the color of the words would change to a different shade so that it was easy to see what was new and what was already read.

Now, however, I click in and no color changes when I click back out.

I'm betting this relates to the update (thanks MS) but was hoping for some guidance.

Note: just checked with my wife and it works the old way for her (changes color on the post).

Thanks.

Unfortunately none of them had much in the way of a solution, and these problems seem to go back years, so there's no connecting factor that I can see.

You could try clearing your cache, which is usually the first troubleshooting step for everything. It's probably worth doing this, so if you haven't already, here's a guide:

https://www.solveyourtech.com/how-to-clear-cache-in-microsoft-edge-a-step-by-step-guide/

If clearing your cache doesn't help, one other possible solution is to install an extension that will give you control over visited links. I can't guarantee that this will work, but if it does, it will allow you to control the color that you would like to see on visited links. Here are a couple of possibilities:
