Have Alberta separatists not heard of Brexit?

Look no further than the UK after Brexit to see how a separate Alberta would fair

Brexit is an absolute disaster

Remember the UK already had -

A standing army
Currency
Federal institutions in place
& access to tide water

Alberta has none of those things

Only about 30-35% of Albertans even support a referendum which, if passed, would be non-binding until/unless the federal government and the First Nations people affected gave consent, which they won’t.

It’s all just posturing by Smith- she wants to be the next conservative leader, and then prime minister.

over and over again. Even the most favourable polls show only 19 percent strongly favour separation and another 17 'lean' toward it. Smith toys with these nutjobs and they make up a big part of her base but is smart enough to know supporting them publicly is a no go if she wants to stay in power.

By-election?

I thought the separation/separation curious were at 30% tops in Alberta.

move on to the issues he wants to focus on which will NOT be separation due to his aspirations to become PM.
