Starbucks lays off 61 Seattle tech employees
Starbucks Corp. (Nasdaq: SBUX) has laid off 61 employees at its Seattle headquarters.
The coffee giant disclosed the layoffs in a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification filed with the state of Washington on Friday. According to the filing, the layoffs are due to "a reorganization of the technology department."
Affected roles include developers, cybersecurity analysts, project managers and systems analysts.
Starbucks hasn't yet provided a comment on the layoffs.
