Starbucks Corp. (Nasdaq: SBUX) has abruptly shuttered its two Reserve locations in Seattle amid ongoing restructuring efforts. The affected locations are the Reserve Roastery at 1124 Pike St. on Capitol Hill and the Reserve store at its Sodo headquarters, at 2401 Utah Ave S.
The coffee giant posted a goodbye note on the door of the Capitol Hill location:
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the closure of the Seattle Reserve Roastery. This location has been the destination of coffee lovers from down the block and around the world. That you have chosen to share this experience with us is deeply appreciated.
A Starbucks spokesperson told the Business Journal that the decision is part of the broader program of store closures the company is executing in 2025.
