Level 3 evacuation orders issued near town in Thurston County

Level 3 “Go Now” orders were issued near the town of Rainier, specifically the area surrounding 138th Avenue and Military Road Southeast.
The south end of Rainier Road, between Military Road and 138th Avenue, is closed due to the fire, the Thurston County Sheriff’s Office reported.
The fire is around 5 acres, according to the Department of Natural Resources.
