Democratic Senator Victoria Hunt now leads Republican rival Chad Magendanz by a greater margin than Bill Ramos did in
2024Demonstrating that the Democratic Party’s electoral strength in the suburbs and exurbs of Washington State is still growing, State Senator Victoria Hunt has now built a lead over Republican challenger Chad Magendanz that is greater than the one her predecessor, the late Senator Bill Ramos, had almost one year ago for the same position.
There is one week of counting left, but most ballots cast have been tabulated.
As of today’s count, Hunt had 54.11% of the votes tabulated so far, while Magendanz had 45.73% of the votes; the election will be certified a week from tomorrow. In 2024, Ramos had 53.78% of the August vote and Magendanz had 46.16%.
Ramos’ August 2024 margin was 7.62, and Hunt’s margin now is 8.38.
