Alaska Airlines adds 2 new international nonstop flights from Seattle
Alaska Airlines (NYSE: ALK) announced Tuesday it will add nonstop service from Seattle to London and Reykjavik, Iceland, in May 2026, as it continues to bolster its international offerings out of its hometown airport.
The routes join Tokyo, Rome, and Seoul, South Korea, as the newest international destinations for Alaska after its $1.9 billion acquisition of Hawaiian Airlines. The acquisition brought Hawaiian's long-haul widebody aircraft into Alaska's fleet, enabling Alaska to expand its international offerings.
The service to London will operate daily year-round on the widebody Boeing 787-Dreamliner. And service to Reykjavik will be daily during the summer on the Boeing 737-8 Max, a single-aisle aircraft designed for long-range flying.
"We are seizing this moment to redefine the international experience and level up," Alaska CEO Ben Minicucci wrote in a press release.
