CVS to rebrand Bartell Drugs stores acquired from Rite Aid
CVS Health Corp. (NYSE: CVS) is rebranding its newly acquired Bartell Drugs locations to the CVS name.
Rhode Island-based CVS confirmed the decision on Friday, marking what could be the end of the iconic local drugstore brand.
The move comes after Bartell parent Rite Aid, which filed for bankruptcy in May, announced that same month it was selling 64 locations across Washington, Oregon and Idaho to CVS.
Those 64 stores, all of which are being rebranded to CVS, include 20 Bartell locations.
