Stephanie Miller puts in for Cache County executive special election
Hyrum Mayor Stephanie Miller is one of seven candidates running in the special election for Cache County executive, following current Executive David Zooks retirement announcement, which takes effect on Sept. 8.
Miller feels as though 20-plus years of public service 12 of which were as Hyrums mayor being a member of the Cache County Fire District Board of Trustees, involvement with the Cache Waste Consortium, being Hyrums acting city manager for the last three years and serving on the Utah Local Government Trusts Board of Directors all make her a qualified candidate for Cache County executive.
Referencing the aforementioned professional experiences, specifically her interactions with other mayors and Cache County, Miller said, The county involves all these different communities and whats good for all of them trying to make those decisions and have them involved in those decisions, also.
In her time serving a dual-role as mayor and acting city manager, Miller feels she and her team have accomplished a lot for Hyrum City, despite some criticism of the citys decision to have her act as both.
