Valley Mills ISD calls for $18.45 million bond election
VALLEY MILLS, Texas The Valley Mills Independent School District has called a bond election for the upcoming November ballot, hoping to upgrade school safety and facilities throughout the district.
The Valley Mills ISD Board of Trustees voted call the $18,450,000 bond at a meeting in late August.
According to the district, the bond will be presented as two proposals. Proposition A reportedly includes expanding the Career and Technology Education areas at the high school, renovating the existing Ag shop for classrooms and construction a multipurpose room. The proposition also reportedly includes playground improvements and enclosing corridors at the elementary school.
Proposition B includes athletic improvements at the baseball and softball complex, such as turfing the fields and addressing seating, restrooms, the concession stand, dugouts and fencing, the district said.
