Commissioner Louie Minor (D) announces re-election bid

Bell County Commissioner Louie Minor announced Thursday he will run for reelection for Precinct 4, encompassing west Bell County.

Minor, a Democrat from Killeen, was first elected to the position in 2022.

“I’m running for re-election because families deserve a progressive who gets things done at the county courthouse. I’m proud to have the endorsements of the National Democratic County Officials, VoteVets, and so many of our friends and neighbors right here in Bell County,” Minor said in a statement.

Ernest Wilkerson, a Central Texas College board member from Killeen, has also announced he will run in the Democratic primary in March.
