Pittsburgh area college conservatives fearful after Kirk murder

Apparently college Rs now have figured out guns they all seem to love can be used for killing them, too.

Irony abounds.

https://www.post-gazette.com/news/politics-nation/2025/09/14/charlie-kirk-college-safety-free-speech-pittsburgh/stories/202509120078

When Pitt junior Julia Cassidy learned that Mr. Kirk had died, she said she walked out of class and began shaking.

At first, Ms. Cassidy, president of Pitt’s College Republicans, didn't understand why she was having such a reaction. She said she quickly realized it was because he was a “rallying force” behind the modern conservative movement on many campuses.

“He is one of us,” Ms. Cassidy said. “That is what we do on our campus. No matter what we thought about him personally or the way he went about doing what he did, the goal of the College Republicans is the same as his — to create a space for dialogue and have conversations.”

Ms. Cassidy said she and other students have feared for their safety on campus since the shooting.

....

Ally Aufman, a CMU junior and vice president of the College Republicans, said she was afraid to attend class after Mr. Kirk’s death. She was present at the Butler rally in July 2024 where Trump was shot and an attendee was killed.

“On a campus like CMU, I am fearful of putting my views out there,” she said. “I’ve lost friends and relationships with people … because of the views I have. It’s sad that this is reality, but I won’t stop being who I am.”

What the actual fuck is this crap?

The only 'conversation' that these fascists want to have is how 'many libs can we kill today'.

They have either said it, or wanted it. The only conversations they have is within their own echo chamber. Which they cannot understand why this is so wrong and against any rational understanding of life and people.

But of course, they don't want to.

3. It is more likely than not that the murderer of Kirk was, himself, a "conservative"

Not that that word means anything anymore.

But it's ironic, innit, that the campus MAGA people are totally afraid the commies are coming gunnin' for them. They should be embracing their liberal brothers and sisters and acknowledging that Right-Wing murderers are coming after every-fucking-body .

party that initiates violence against it citizenry had a backlash effect on her life? She supports that!!! And now, she has a moment of clarity? And wait, she does not examine that thought fully, she just says she gotta' be who she is? Julia, you're supporting a party that is brainwashing you through the media. They stoke violence, and divide you from your fellow Americans. You're worried about CK, and that you too might be a target of political violence. Well guess what, we all run that risk now. Because of Republicans like you who blindly give their "R" vote to a convicted felon. Julia Cassidy's moment of clarity .....

a bullet in her ass. That's the price she has to pay so's everybody can have their guns.

You or I get shot? Tough shit ---- 2nd Amendment.

Your kids or grandkids get killed in school? Suck it up, Buttercup. They gave their lives for the 2nd Amendment.

Sorry Julia, your sense of security has been sacrificed for Charlie's 2nd Amendment.

And by the way, Charlie supported what happened to Charlie. His death strengthened the 2nd Amendment. .

Hilarious and horrible at the same time. Like we are in a Robin Williams dark comedy.

Sucks to be brought down to the level of every pre-college student in the country and their parents, don't it?
