Oklahoma's resident nut job is at it again

-----Oklahoma State Superintendent of Public Instruction Ryan Walters on Tuesday announced a plan to establish chapters of the conservative organization Turning Point USA at all state high schools.

“I am very excited to announce a partnership with @TPUSA to establish chapters in ALL Oklahoma high schools. Radical leftist teachers’ unions have dominated classrooms for far too long, and we are taking them back,” Walters said Tuesday in a post on the social platform X.-----

This lunatic creeps me out, and we actually knew each other/of each other at one point. I was in his classroom once. He had a big cutout of Reagan.

I care more about Oklahoma's kids than he does, and I haven't been in Oklahoma since 2019. He doesn't actually care about Oklahoma's kids, he cares about politics, his own career, and trying to appeal to the MAGA base instead of improving Oklahoma's education standing when it's gone to 50th with him on the job.

I don't know all the answers to Oklahoma's education system, but I know right wing indoctrination isn't it. Maybe if Oklahoma taught the 1921 Tulsa Race Riots instead of the insanity he's trying to push, that would be a start?
