SPOTLIGHT RACE: Garland Pierce for NC-HD48

Garland E. Pierce was born in Fayetteville, has served House District 48 for 21 years, and his energy to give back has only grown stronger.

A former UPS driver, Army veteran, graduate of Fayetteville State and Shaw Divinity School, and a pastor for over 45 years, Rep. Pierce is a proud native of the Sandhills region. Over the years, it has been his privilege to meet and support countless sectors of our region - our educators and students, law enforcement, church leaders, small business owners, healthcare workers, local government, and so many others.

Through this experience, Rep. Pierce has seen that most regular people are not focused on politics - they are focused on how their elected officials can help them solve their problems. Rep. Pierce rejects today's toxic partisanship - he believes that we have the ability to work together to improve our communities, and his mission is to provide "second-to-none" service to the people of Hoke and Scotland Counties, every single day.
