Appeal filed in Robeson County mayoral election

ROBESON COUNTY, N.C. (WPDE) — An appeal has been filed in the Red Springs mayoral election held on November 4.

Red Spring Commissioners Carolina Sumpter gained 360 votes to Duron Lee Burney's 359, according to election officials.


Burney filed a protest with a number of allegations regarding the election.

Burney's petition makes the following claims:
