$2.1 billion and 9000 jobs would be lost to the Triangle

under proposed cuts to the research budget of the NIH for 2026.

I forget that French guy's name who wrote the book about 10 12 years ago. Picketty, Pinketty, ?

The stock market loves it when corporations cut jobs and the 1% can survive and thrive in a recession.

Years of research totally down the drain.
Patients on the studies left high and dry mid treatment.

6 years ago I had an ablation done to fix my A-fib, I was lucky to get the surgeon who wrote the book on ablation, haven't had an issue since, knock on wood. The success rate of ablations back then was around 70%, there was a new procedure, and a study was being done that upped the success rate to 95%. The surgeon asked me if I wanted to volunteer for the new procedure, and I agreed. Luckily my problem wasn't bad enough to qualify me for the new program because then Covid hit and I had my regular procedure scheduled just in time to get in.

I mean medical research upped the success rate of curing A-fib from 70% to 95%. Instead of just freezing the bad electrical signal coming from the heart the surgeon would do a procedure on the kidney because the kidney in some way causes high blood pressure. So the new ablation procedure would be two fold, fix the bad electrical signal and lower blood pressure.

The Magat Death Party is designed to kill more people and to shorten the lives of more people. The Magat Death Party wants to kill unwashed Americans, wants to kill research to help us live longer. We will have to rely upon other countries for advances in medicine.

That's just my one example where medical research helped the world to live longer.

We are suckers losers, and worthless eaters.

The billionaires believe all the world's resources belong to them.
Not the people.

We--Durham, Orange and Wake counties-- voted overwhelmingly for Harris. The entire state voted in a state wide Dem slate from Governor on down.

Please refrain from knee jerk blaming of the entire population of NC.
