Four incumbents seek reelection in Lake Success

Four incumbent Village of Lake Success officials are seeking another term in office and will appear unopposed on the June 16 village election ballot after securing their party’s nominations in an April 29 village primary.

Mayor Adam Hoffman and trustees Robert Gal, Spyro Dimitratos and Fred Handsman are all running for reelection.

Hoffman, 65, has lived in Lake Success since 1994 and has served as mayor for nearly 11 years. A certified public accountant by profession, he said his involvement in village government began more than two decades ago as a volunteer on the village summer camp board.

After serving on the camp board, Hoffman was encouraged to run for village government. He later became the trustee responsible for the village park system and spent about a decade overseeing the golf course. Throughout his tenure, he has also managed the village budget.
