Albuquerque mayoral candidates set for KOB 4 debate ahead of runoff election

Seven candidates were on the ballot for mayor. However, none of them reached the 50% needed to win and prevent a runoff election between the top two candidates.

Tim Keller (D) received 46,991 votes (36%) while Darren White (R) received 40,783 votes (31%) and will face Keller in the runoff.

Alexander Uballez mounted the fiercest challenge of the other candidates – receiving 24,718 votes (19%). Uballez urged supporters to vote for Keller in the runoff.

“While we wanted to be in the runoff, our campaign is not stopping here. 20% is the bloc that will decide the runoff,” Uballez said. “We cannot allow the keys to Albuquerque to be handed over to Darren White who would roll-over for Donald Trump.”
